Which foot type are you?

Do you know what type of foot you are? - The foot is not flat, but has a multiple arched bottom. This arching can be pronounced in different ways. There are three common foot types. Learn what they are, how to find out which foot type you have and which is the right footbed for you.

How to determine your foot type

If you don't know which foot type you have, it's easy to find out: All you need is an impression of your foot. You can easily identify your foot type on dark stone tiles, for example, if you walk over them with wet feet. Alternatively, you can lay newspaper on the floor and walk over it with wet feet. You can determine your foot type based on the impression you make.

LOW:
Longitudinal and transverse arches are completely flattened, no longitudinal arch is visible. The foot is loaded on its entire surface (flat foot).

MID: Here the forefoot, midfoot and heel are in contact with the ground, the longitudinal arch is visible. This is also referred to as a medium arch or a "normal foot".

HIGH: The longitudinal arch is strongly elevated, there is no or very little contact with the ground. This type of foot is also known as a hollow foot.

Viva®-Comfort for every foot type

pedag's foot supports are designed for different foot types: They support every single arch and avoid unpleasant, punctual stress. This way, the foot can relax.

With pedag Viva® High and pedag Viva®, the anatomical shape of the insole supports the natural rolling motion. A biomechanical bridge runs across the diagonal rolling motion, protecting the musculoskeletal system and preventing fatigue. The pad prevents splayfoot and has a soothing effect. The extra soft and anatomically designed heel cushion dampens the step and relieves the heel. To optimally support the high longitudinal arch in case of a hollow foot, pedag Viva® High has a higher longitudinal arch support.

Für jeden Fußtyp die richtige Sohle

The foot support pedag Viva® Low is suitable for flat arches and all sensitive feet. A full-surface soft padding comfortably supports the foot, the anatomically shaped foot support with the typical elements of the Viva family - heel cushioning, splayfoot padding and longitudinal arch support - relieves and relaxes the stressed foot. To meet the needs of particularly sensitive feet, the pad is more pronounced, the longitudinal arch support is even more flexible and the soft cushion is all-over.
