With passion for quality - pedag's corporate philosophy

Since its beginnings in 1955, Schelchen GmbH has focused on people. The products, according to the vision of the founder Hartmut Schelchen, should really benefit the customer. Influenced by the experiences of the war and the reconstruction period afterwards, he already wanted an optimal working environment for his employees and sustainability in the production of high-quality products.

Today, pedag still works according to this corporate philosophy: We are proud of our high-quality products and focus on people - in all areas.

pedag cares for people's feet and shoes

People walk, stand, run - and for most of them this is quite natural. It is only when walking becomes difficult or painful that we realize how valuable healthy feet are. Whether heel spurs, burning bunions, hammertoes, flat or splay feet - around 80 percent of the population suffers from foot complaints. We have been taking care of people's feet and shoes for more than 60 years - preventively or soothingly. The claim behind this is as simple as it is comprehensive: We want the best quality and the best products for our customers. That is what we work for - day after day.

Quality products with feel-good guarantee

pedag products make sure that you will still feel comfortable with every step you take tomorrow. Research and development as well as production and sales take place under one roof. We expand our know-how by cooperating with a network of efficient suppliers and experts. In this way, we are often a step ahead of others when it comes to quality and innovation. The first non-latex-based activated carbon filter that effectively prevents foot odor is just one example. Together with orthopedists, we conduct research in the field of footbeds. Experienced chemists are helping us to develop a new, environmentally friendly impregnator. And we process our selected, environmentally friendly materials mostly by hand.

pedag produces mostly in Germany. This way, we avoid long transport routes, save resources and can guarantee the usual pedag quality.

In order to not only offer our customers a piece of wellness and health with our products, but also to preventively protect our employees from the most common civilization diseases such as back pain and cardiovascular complaints, our production site in Königs-Wusterhausen near Berlin offers a park-like environment that invites active lunch breaks, as well as an integrated fitness and medical massage offer that can be used before and after work. In this way, we can offer our employees a balance to their highly concentrated and professional work by providing a relaxed working environment.
