03.05.2019 | The choice is huge. Students are often perplexed by the many possibilities available after school - so are their parents! Nevertheless, they are the most important advisors for their children. The 'parentum – Eltern+Schülertag für die Berufswahl' (parentum - Parents+Students' Day for Career Choice), which takes place on 11 May in Hall 17 of the TH Wildau, helps both. Schelchen GmbH will be there with an info-booth.
Students also learned a lot about the apprenticeship opportunities at Schelchen GmbH at the 'Zukunftstag Brandenburg.
Tina Fischer (MdL and local patroness) ceremoniously opens the first parentum in Wildau on 11 May 2019 at 10 am. On this Saturday until 2 p.m. more than 30 regional and national exhibitors will present their training and study offers in hall 17 of the TH Wildau (Hochschulring 1, 15745 Wildau). Schelchen GmbH will also be there and will provide information about the training programs in their company.
Companies, vocational schools and universities offer orientation for the professional future in personal talks, on the career course or in lectures. The grand prize draw for a future coaching session will crown the premiere of the event in the LDS region.
"Parents are important mentors when choosing a career," says project manager Christina Menzel-Ostrowski. "But their own education lies far behind, so that they often find it difficult to advise their children in a contemporary way."
Entrance to the parentum Eltern+Schülertag is free.
