The German brand pedag® stands for products that are feel-good makers, problem solvers and healthy companions. Since 1955. One year ago, the third generation started to get involved in the family business. So perfect timing.
The new logo picks up on this tradition and interprets it in a contemporary way with a high recognition value.
pedag® in a new design
The new packs show even more of the product and help you make your choice. The bright white sets the stage for the products and the side view of the soles makes it easy to see the different material thicknesses and the space required in the shoe.
On the back of the box we show you even better the material structure of each sole. And exemplary photos of the manufacturing process give you an impression of our handcrafted production near Berlin.
More environmentally friendly packaging
We want to produce as environmentally friendly as possible and this year we are taking further steps in this direction. In the course of this modernisation, we are therefore reducing the CO² footprint of pedag soles:
- all sole packaging is switched to cardboard as a renewable raw material.
- for the presentation in the stationary trade, the plastic hook is necessary to make it easier to remove sizes from the side. However, this hook is made of 100% recycled PP plastic.
- all packs are recyclable.
- We are currently installing a photovoltaic system on 3,600 m² of our company's roof, which we use to cover our entire electricity consumption. More about that soon.
We are also working on the details to avoid waste. Whereas the leather soles were previously embossed with gold-coloured metallic pigments, we now produce them using elaborate hot embossing. This way we avoid plastic and metal foil ... and emphasise the value of the natural material leather.
Smooth changeover
It will take some time until our production items are all changed to the new design. Our stock and the presentation in the shops will show mixed designs for a while. This is normal, and we do not dispose of anything just because the logo and packaging do not yet correspond to the new pedag® , but we use up everything sustainably. For our customers it is important: no matter if the pedag® packaging is grey or white ... the quality of the products is identical. Premium quality to feel good.
