Thomas Timm celebrates 30 years at Schelchen GmbH


30.05.2018 | Schelchen GmbH and its brand pedag international look back on 63 years of company history. What started out as a one-man business has grown over the decades into a successful production company with more than 160 employees that sells its products worldwide. Thomas Timm (59), managing director and partner, has been steering the fortunes of the company for 30 years.

Thomas Timm, asked about his first day at the company: "I will never forget it. The founder, Mr. Schelchen, introduced me to his long-time dispatch manager with the words: 'This is Mr. Timm, my future successor'. Real Berliners don't mince their words, so that he briefly commented: 'Well, we've already had several of them!'

"Well, and now 30 years of successful work have been done and it's just as much fun as it was at the beginning: With a super team in production & shipping, development, sales and marketing. With great sales partners in Germany as well as on our 50 export markets.

"And what is cool is that both long-standing and new customers confirm that my team has been able to preserve the successful DNA of the pedag® brand over all these years and successfully apply it even to the biggest market changes!
